Tips to Strengthen Feedback

  • When you provide negative feedback to a work colleague or give your opinion on how they are doing some aspect of their job, do so in a calm manner without a negative tone in your voice making sure that you do not make the person feel you are putting them down.
  • Discuss with colleagues or your team the importance of improving individual and team by providing each other with genuine and constructive feedback, sometimes positive, sometimes negative.
  • At a suitable time, discuss with others the idea that it is important not to take negative feedback personally including critical opinion of aspects of their work – and that this is not a sign of disrespect.
